AUTHOR BIO

Teresa Lynn has just announced her newest novel, A KILLING IN VICKSBURG. Her previous novels, DIXIELAND MURDER (A Lucy DelRose Mystery) and RIVER RAT (A Lucy DelRose Mystery) is a winner of the 2011 6th Annual Dixie Kane Contest.

Teresa's first novel, TO DISMISS WITH PREJUDICE, mystery suspense was published in 2001 by First Books Library and Author House published a reprint in 2009. She worked for fifteen years as a legal assistant for law firms in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Teresa is a winner of the 2013 American Literary Merit Award (ALMA) contest for her short story FADED AROUND THE EDGES.

Teresa is a winner of WRITERS WEEKLY, 'Winter 2012 24-Hour Short Story Contest' for her short story PARTNER.  She is the winner of the 2012 3rd Annual 10-Minute Play Project at the Vicksburg Theatre Guild for her comedy play WHAT'S WRONG WITH HARRY?.  She also won the 2011 2nd Annual 10-Minute Play Project at the Vicksburg Theatre Guild for her comedy play THE ANNIVERSARY.

Teresa taught creative writing in Caddo Parish Elementary Schools in Shreveport, Louisiana through the literacy program of a local writing guild. She helped produce and edit a weekly talk show on Shreveport’s Cable Vision’s public service channel entitled: Special Features. She interviewed local dignitaries about their work and commitment to the community.

She is a member of the following writer’s organizations Sisters in Crime Organization,

Gulf Coast Writers Association, and the Mississippi Writers Guild to help promote and encourage creative writing in communities throughout the country.

She was fortunate enough to have six scenes in the hit movie O’ Brother Where Art Thou starring George Clooney and John Goodman.
